Merchant Solutions IQ was started by two successful merchant entrepreneurs: Cindy Martin MacMillan and David MacMillan.

Cindy and David, like millions of merchants, had a hard time understanding their credit card processing charges. It seemed like the credit card processing companies were purposely making the bills difficult to understand.

David and Cindy brought their credit card processing bills to their accountant, and after 10 minutes of trying to decipher the charges, the accountant threw up his hands in frustration. David said, "Wouldn't it be great if they just made it simple?" Cindy added, "Wouldn't it be awesome if we could share the profits we generate processing credit card transactions?"

That was when the core concepts for Merchant Solutions IQ were formed. David and Cindy realized that their experience was normal.
