Appetizers start the meal, the main dish is the main course, but desserts, they are simply heaven. You can describe dessert in numerous terms, but everybody would likely agree that the best and most exact term to describe it is it is simply irresistible.

Even if you have had just the blandest burger or the most sumptuous steak for the main meal, the experience is never complete without a sweet conclusion. Admit it, the meanest diet plan you have is no match for the sweet-looking masterpieces waiting for you at the end of the meal. Don’t try to fight it anymore. You can’t win a battle against a dessert.

A dessert can be in many textures or forms. There is the steamy hot apple pie with creamy vanilla ice cream on top and the classic chocolate cake. There is also the healthy, fruit-filled bowl. Whatever you prefer, whether you want it natural and healthy or sinful and dark, there is always a dessert that you would fall in love with.

Face it, it is not fair for you to skip desserts when a rick, dark chocolate syrup oozing in a soft sponge, moist cake awaits you to conclude your meal. Are you sure you are strong enough to deny it?

Imagine the lushest chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream topped with another serving of chocolate sauce waiting for you to finish your meal. Or a hot and sweet country style apple pie topped with a creamy vanilla ice cream that is ready to be served at your command. It doesn’t seem fair to deny yourself such simple pleasures of life. So don’t.

Dessert isn’t just an additional course, it is one of the main attractions of a complete meal. You may think of them as your prize for getting through a tough day at work or even a signal that you have to let go of the fat and juicy rib-eye steak. A dessert is the solution to your sanity. It’s not good for the mental health to deny yourself of the pleasures of the sweets. You may think you are being physically healthy, but I bet you can’t stop thinking about that chocolate banana cake or that rich blueberry cheesecake or even that fruit gateau.

However you see it, a dessert is simply irresistible. Don’t try to fight it. A battle against desserts is a war that you wouldn’t mind losing.

Cakes are the wellness devils. At least that’s what people say. And why not? With all the calories and fats it gives us, cakes are most definitely evil. They are even often referred to as sinful and decadent. That’s because they are rich and oh so luscious that every bite appears to be forbidden. Its nutritional value for our physical wellness depends on the kind of cake we are talking about. While experts say eating chocolate cakes, especially the dark variety, is good for you when taken moderately, there’s also something good to be said with the fruity kind.

But whatever kind of cake you want, as long as you want it, is still good for you. How come? We’re talking about mental health. Refusing yourself the rich and luscious chocolate overload dessert would just make you feel frustrated.

For every bad effects that have been said about eating rich sweets like cakes, only a couple has been said about its health advantage. Giving into the rich delight every from time to time, especially in desserts like cakes you eat after every meal, can give you a sense of contentment and happiness.

Diet can lead to depression, depriving yourself of the food that you like can lead to depression. A no-brainer answer to battling being down is by doing things that make you feel good. So if you think eating your favorite cake is what you wish to do right now, then go ahead. You deserve it. Your body will be grateful as it will release happy and positive chemicals.

When you are in diet, you may consider cakes as the demons. But treating yourself in something decadently good occasionally isn’t all bad. Not only is it not completely bad, it is also good for you once in a while. So go ahead and dig in. Try that soft, lush and sinful dark chocolate that you very well know you can’t resist no matter how hard you try. You would be glad that you gave in.
